FPAC Editing Bays
Production Training Classes Fall 2009
Classes are offered on Thursday evenings and every other Wednesday evening from 6:30-9:00pm, subject to change. Please email us, or call the studio at 508-875-5434, for details or to register.
We offer 4 levels of classes:
Basic Level-for those just learning television/video production
Intermediate Level-for people that have taken the basics or have previous experience in that area of production.
Advanced Level-for people that have taken Intermediate classes and have experience
All Levels Class-for anyone that has an interest
Class Schedule
Orientation (Wednesdays) – For new members and all interested!

Camcorder Class (Wednesday, 1 session)
Basic Level Class-Learn the basics of using the Sony PD170 and Panasonic GS 500 camcorders. Become certified to check out video cameras.

Introduction to Apple Final Cut Pro (Thursdays, 3 Sessions)
Intermediate Class: Learn the basics of non-linear video editing with FCP V. Become certified to use FPAC editing computers and Final Cut Pro.

Field Audio 101 (Wednesday, 1 Session)
Basic Level Class: Using sound recording equipment outside the studio.

Studio Production (Thursdays, 3 Sessions)
Basic Level Class – Learn Crew Positions of Camera, floor director, audio board and Director.

Advanced Final Cut Pro (Thursday, 1 Session)

Introduction to Live Type (Wednesday, 1 Session)
Intermediate Class –Learn to create and animate titles and credits using the advanced character generator within Final Cut Pro. Must have taken Final Cut Pro class.

Advanced Studio Production (Wednesday and Thursday, 2 Sessions)
Intermediate Level Class – Learn the finer point of shooting in the studio, including advanced lighting, shot calling.

Introduction to Photoshop (Wednesdays, 1 Session)
Basic Level Class – Learn the basics of Adobe Photoshop and how to incorporate photos and images into your project.
