Following months of hard work by FPAC’s Policies Committee, Governance Committee, Executive Director and attorney, the FPAC Board of Directors has approved a new Member Policies and Procedures document that we hope will reflect best practices, answer members’ questions, and improve FPAC operations. The new policies will go into effect on January 1, 2010.

If you are a volunteer FPAC producer, or you sponsor any shows for FPAC, please be sure to read through the document, as there are a number of significant changes. One major alteration is that Production Contracts will be required, and producers will need to provide a contract number for each project, in order to check out FPAC equipment or use the FPAC studio and editing facilities.  The Production Contract will be available on this website soon.

Other changes include new wording for the disclaimer at the beginning and end of every public access program, and Safe Harbor hours will become 11 pm to 5 am daily. In addition, this and other existing policies, such as a completed Cablecast Agreement for every program, will be enforced more formally going forward. If you produce or sponsor programs for cablecasting by FPAC, please be sure to familiarize yourself with the new Member Policies and Procedures, as programs without the appropriate credits, disclaimers and documents may not be cablecast.

The FPAC Board of Directors expects the new policies to improve both member and viewer experiences, and to help the Framingham community make more efficient use of FPAC resources. We welcome your comments and will be reviewing the new policies in the future. Just wanted to thank EVERYONE that helped make the Rotary Auction a Success. It is a big shoot for FPAC every year, and it takes a lot teamwork with staff and volunteers to make it work.

This year Greg and Alex had planned to run the studio cameras to the stage to improve the quality of the production. Even with management transitions & last-minute roll-in productions,they were able to completely organize & execute this entire event. They pulled equipment off the truck and incorporated it in Master Control, they bundled all the cables & pulled them to the other end of the building, and even did good work with the gaff tape!
They took what could have been a daunting task, and made it easy.
